Main Stage, Friday 2015
Dreadzone are a British band formed in 1993 whose music is an unique fusion of dub, electronic and folk. In 1994 they opened the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and began to bring their unique blend of electro, dub and reggae to a wider audience. The band went on to chart seven top 60 singles, including their ground breaking UK top 40 hit Little Britain from their album Second Light back in ’96.
The band have had a career which has spanned the credibility of Creation Records and their foray into the mainstream when snapped up by the mighty Virgin where their label mates included the likes of Massive Attack, Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers. In 2011 they released of The Best of Dreadzone – The Good, the Bad and the Dread. Dreadzone celebrated 20 years of recordings and live music performance in 2013 seeing them at festivals nationwide performing classic tracks from Ecapades their 7th album. The band are still going strong and have wowed Wychwood audiences several times in the past so we are delighted to have them back.
