As one the of the UK's most diverse and exciting family weekenders, Wychwood Festival offers much more than just three days of unrivalled musical talent across four stages.
The friendly atmosphere brings in a mix of all ages with its main priority focusing on a family feel.
The ripples of happiness spread far beyond the boundaries of the field and the confines of the weekend and permeate happiness into our lives and communities.
Wychwood offers fantastic fun for kids, and hosts a literary festival with authors and illustrators, kids' favourite characters, a multitude of making things, playing with stuff, learning, education, workshops, dance, and much more, and all free with no need to sign up, just drop in and join in the fun.
With all the charm of a village fete merged with the joy of live music Wychwood is a delightful event that turns the racecourse into the perfect oasis, offering festival goers the opportunity to let their hair down, embrace the fun things in life and revel in an environment that is really easy and laid back whilst offering a huge and eclectic range of entertainment and activity on top of the musical offerings.
The first thing I did when I got home was phone my Mum and suggest we all go next year.
At the weekend we took the children to their very first festival. We went to Wychwood Festival, in Cheltenham, and it was one of the best family days out we’ve ever had, which is saying something as we’ve had some good ones, and we also got absolutely soaked through while we were there, but it didn’t dampen our spirits at all.
This weekend we were lucky enough to spend 3 days at the Wychwood Festival held at Cheltenham Racecourse. The atmosphere was relaxed, it felt friendly and safe for the kids and even though it was busy it didn’t feel crowded.
We knew it was a Family Festival but we were still a little unsure whether we could still enjoy a festival experience with 2 young children in tow...We needn't have worried as we all had a wonderful time! In fact the children still talk about it now and are even more excited than us, that we are going back. The festival had so much going on for the children, it meant we could relax and take everything in whilst the children were entertained all day long!
