Parent, gardener and writer of books for 7–12 year old children, Fleur Hitchcock lives in rural suburbia; a place where having a bonfire is a piece of news! She has appeared at the Bath Festival of Children’s Literature, the Cheltenham Literary Festival and Bath Literary Festival. Flour has been shortlisted for prizes including the James Reckitt Hull Children’s Book Award, the Leicester Our Best Book Award, the Enfield Book Award, the Heart of Hawick Book Award, and longlisted for the Oxford Book Award and the Branford Boase Award. Dear Scarlett was part of the Booktrust’s Bookbuzz programme and was given out to thousands of school children across Britain.
