HOO HAs

Dave’s Stage (Main Stage), Friday 2016

HOO HAs

HOO HAs are led by charismatic front man Jamie, who started out writing poetry. He soon progressed to working alongside his old friend the late Robb Skipper, helping to write lyrics for his post Holloways projects. After meeting Mark and Adam when they were in the band Hares, jamming at parties lead to sessions above the Silver Bullet in Finsbury Park and legendary late night gigs downstairs followed.

HOO HAs swiftly evolved from their early incarnation as purveyors of comical blues jams, developing a distinct, and earthy style. Jamie’s deadpan vocal belies his clever off-kilter narratives about the 21st century experience, which are always brutally honest and entertaining. Radio X’s John Kennedy describes them as a great example of current best of British.
