Thrill Collins
Hobgoblin Stage: Friday 2016
Rarely does a band become a festival institution, but Thrill Collins have certainly done that at Wychwood. We’re proud to call them our house band and this year they are returning for their 7th consecutive Wychwood, having played every stage at the festival several times. We love the guys so much we booked them twice this year. Thrill Collins will first entertain the festival goers propping up the bar in the Hobgoblin Stage on Friday night and then help us close the festival with a bang as the final act on the Main Stage on Sunday night, after Bill Bailey.
Amazing… Prepare to be blown awayGlastonbury Festival
If you’ve somehow managed to miss them in the past, Thrill Collins are a three-piece acoustic skiffle party band, who have a habit of rearranging some of the most epic pop songs of all time, with surprising results. They are regulars on the UK festival circuit and have played high profile events across the UK including Glastonbury, Bestival, Camp Bestival, 2000 Trees, Cheltenham Jazz, Truck, Y-Not and Eden festivals. The band have also played over 500 European & US venue shows over the past few years. This year shows no signs of letting up for the acoustic trio with an almost continuous run of gigs in the calendar ruining the possibility of holiday for anyone in the band! Thrill Collins have released three EPs produced by George Shilling (James Brown, Blur, Oasis, Frank Turner), the latest being 2015 release LED ZEPPELIN IV.
The band have been busy skiffleafying a brand new selection of songs for you and will be unleashing their fresh set at Wychwood for the first time.
