Tony de Saulles has a background in design and typography, which plays an important part in his illustration work. His aim is to create funny, informative illustrations and he loves writing and research too. Tony is best known for his work illustrating the best-selling multi award-winning Horrible Science series. The book’s most recent award is The Blue Peter Prize For Best Book With Facts. The books have sold millions of copies all around the world. Horrible Science spin-offs include a highly successful range of experiment kits from Galt Toys, a theatre show from the Birmingham Stage Company and a children’s television series on ITV.

Tony has visited many of the big book festivals with his cartoon illustration workshops and has been a popular fixture at Wychwood for the past few years. This year Tony’s workshop will focus on the latest Horrible Science book, The Brain-Boggling Body Book.
