In over 10 years together, eight-piece band Brickwork Lizards have built a reputation and loyal fans from playing a host of showcase gigs and dozens of festivals. This eclectic ‘Turkabilly’ collective is taking the UK World Music scene by storm. A motley crew of mixed heritages which beam through their borderless song sheet, Egyptian, English, Irish and Scottish roots all find their way into a repertoire that encompasses the sound of 1930s and 40s harmony groups, gypsy jazz and Ottoman classics, spearheaded by the sweetest vocals from Tarik Beshir and raps from MC Tom O’Hawk.
Their album Zaman is out now and their new album will be released in late 2017.
