Formed in early September 2015 Dionysus is a five piece Cheltenham based Alternative Rock band, formerly known as Not Completely British. Four British students and one American teamed up, with their quirky personalities and all-around eccentric group dynamic which produces a wide variety of original songs ranging from rock with influences from country down to massive sounding rock operas. The five-piece band which formed at University in the Autumn, consists of pianists/vocalists Isobel Sherwood and Brittney Crawley, multi-instrumentalists Jon Dowling and Sam Gooch, and drummer Shona Moreland.

Taking influences from Muse, Pixies, Whitney Houston, Royal Blood, Civil Wars, Coldplay and Alestorm. Dionysus use their varied and wide range of influences to create a unique blend of Rock with Classical and Pop thrown in for good measure.

Currently, they are in the final stages of producing their album to be released in summer of 2017, and the band are continuing to establish themselves in the local music scene. Playing gigs at local venues in Cheltenham and Gloucester. Dionysus look forward to coming to a venue near you!
