Sandtimer are an acoustic duo formed by Robert Sword and Simon Thomas who play folk-infused indie with a focus on close vocal harmonies and intricate guitar textures. Inspired by the folk output of artists such as Neil Young, Nick Drake and Beck, as well as the sparse textures of Appalachian traditional music, the pair of UK-based musicians formed in mid-2014 and have since toured the UK acoustic circuit extensively and released two EPs, which have received airplay on stations including BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio Wales.

Last year they embarked on their first tour abroad, travelling the mountain and prairie backroads of West Canada.
