Jake made it to the semi-finals of the BBC New comedy Award within 6 months of his first gig, allowing him to perform on both BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 2.

His joke writing has lead him to write for such shows as 8 Out of 10 Cats, BBC's Mock The Week, and E4's Virtually Famous.

Jake (I'll stop with this now) has gone on to receive a plethera of nominations including The Magners New Comedian of the Year 2015, and the prestigious Leicester Mercury New Act of the Year 2015. He also made it to the final of the English Comedian of the Year and the Amused Moose Laugh Off Final, 2016.

In 2017 and 2018 Jake was tour support for Seann Walsh, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Kerry Godliman and Tom Allen. Phew.
