Miles grew up on the folk scene of Oxfordshire before moving to Birmingham in 2018, where she began to fine tune her innovative and unique take on alternative-pop. Her single Good, was first launched on a Hyundai advert and accumulated over a million views. Miles’ songwriting and live show continue to grow in maturity, as she begins to openly refuse to adhere to any rules, embracing rock, jazz and reggae influences.
Dolly Mavies
Main Stage, Saturday
Mavies' songs have a real depth and maturity which make them feel like they have been around for years. They evoke feelings of the '70s and '80s with that classic rock feel, songs with a core, substance, and catchy hooks. Likened often to Joni Mitchell, Florence Welch, Fleetwood Mac, and Gabrielle Aplin, Mavies blurs eras, genres, and is definitely an artist with integrity and something to say.
Amy Moore
Garden Stage, Saturday
Taking on the role of drummer-chick from the age of eleven, singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist Amy Moore claims melodic drum lines are simply in her DNA. Always finding herself as the only girl behind the kit back then, she found a love for being on stage and rocking out just as hard as the big boys.
Now, Amy is one of those big boys. With a lot to say and the right words to say it, Moore has taken her love of rhythm and added meaning, discovering her love for country music on the way. Her lyrical prowess captures the essence of country music, weaving tales of love, longing, and nostalgia. Yet, it’s her upbeat tempo and irresistible energy that truly captivates listeners, beckoning them to sing and dance along.
Supalung
Garden Stage, Saturday
SupaLung is the Alt Chamber Rock Pop moniker of singer-songwriter Sam Brookes alongside multi-instrumentalist and producer Pete Josef.
The group describe their music as joyous, melodic and experimental. In their own words: “We wanted to draw from all of the great music across time that we love and put it into this album. The keystone was Joy – if it didn’t make you smile, send shivers of excitement or fill your eyes with joyous tears then we double-backed and started again.”
Crispin
Main Stage, Sunday
Meet Crispin, the musical maestro from the heart of Gloucestershire, whose journey through the melodies knows no bounds!
From his humble beginnings from the classical world as a chorister at Gloucester Cathedral, where he first discovered the magic of music at the age of 7, to rocking the main stages of festivals like Lakefest and Witcombe Festival, his path has been nothing short of extraordinary.
With his debut single Lover Lover, Crispin effortlessly blends genres, serving up a delicious mix of heartwarming rockers and heart-wrenching ballads that speak to the soul. Drawing inspiration from life's twists and turns, his music is a sonic journey that resonates with audiences far and wide.
Flora Fiora
Garden Stage, Sunday
Flora Fiora is a singer songwriter from Gloucestershire who is inspired by artists such as Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, Billie Eilish, and Adele.
Flora has been performing live in front of crowds ranging from 50-100+ people for over a year. Doing this has enabled her to find her own style of performing and helped her to finesse her own compositions.
Since Flora’s first release back in September 2022, she has released 5 more singles, plus an EP and a music video. Her music has not only developed and grown but her audience has too. She has recently surpassed a total of 360,000 streams. Flora plans to release her 8th track in Summer 2024.
Thomas Bradley Project
Garden Stage, Sunday
Thomas Bradley Project are a folk rock band hailing from Liverpool writing and producing original music for the genre. Lyrically, the songs tackle the social issues of the day while also delving into the lives of ordinary people – their labours, challenges and victories. What sets them apart though, is the lightness of touch and the beauty of the melodies, both instrumentally, and through Thomas' voice.
