Garden Stage additions
Today we’re also excited to announce 4 new additions to your Garden Stage line-up!
First up on Sunday is Nottingham’s post-punk band Do Nothing – influenced by Spoon, Deerhoof and LCD Soundsystem, the quartet made a strong first statement with their debut album Snake Sideways, reaching the Top 10 of the Independent Albums, Independent Album Breakers, Vinyl Albums and Record Store Charts. Fresh off the back of an IVW tour of the UK, they’re back with a stunning new single Summer of Hate.
Joining the bill on Saturday we have dream pop duo Wings Of Desire – born out of a need to understand the world. James and Chloe spent many a night obsessing over their favourite musical eras (Krautrock, Berlin-era Bowie, Early Noughties New York, and Factory Records) and fiercely debating everything from '60s counter culture to the human condition. What naturally came together was a musical project that conveys the complexities of life against an immersive and sentimental backdrop.
Joining them on Sunday we have the return of Thomas Bradley Project! Centred around young composer and multi-instrumentalist, Thomas Bradley. Their sound combines thought-provoking poetry with folk and classic rock, creating something that stands out and is incredibly unusual. Likened to bands such as Led Zeppelin, Greta Van Fleet and Pearl Jam, while simultaneously to more introspective outfits such as Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel and Van Morrison. Still in his early 20s, Thomas’ music has a wise and timeless quality beyond his years which gives it a broad appeal.
Completing the additions we have Oxford’s The Standard – For over 13 years, The Standard has been the heartbeat of the local party scene, delivering unforgettable performances packed with crowd-favorite covers and creative mash-ups. From timeless classics to modern anthems, they know exactly how to fill a dance floor and keep the energy soaring all night long. Their stage presence? Picture a musical cocktail: equal parts explosive energy, unpredictable fun, and just the right dash of chaos. If a jukebox and a confetti cannon had a love child, it would be The Standard – setting the bar for an incredible night out every time they hit the stage.
