ABC

On it’s release in May 1982 ABC's debut album The Lexicon of Love smashed straight into the UK album charts at number one. Hit songs such as Poison Arrow, The Look Of Love and All Of My Heart kick-started the Eighties and, with majestic production from the legendary Trevor Horn, the album remains a classic to this day.

More albums followed: Beauty Stab and How To Be A Zillionaire and the band conquered the USA with a series of Billboard dance chart number ones. By the summer of 1987 the worldwide hit When Smokey Sings had powered its way toward the top of the American charts. It represented a deepening sound, inspired by soul and cosmopolitan chic.

Since then, ABC have released a number of albums, including a live showcase, and the last four years have seen the band complete four successful American Tours, the sell-out Steel City Arena Tour with The Human League and Heaven 17, and a string of Country House Shows here in the UK, two of the last summer’s highlights being the Isle Of Wight Festival and Camp Bestival.

It may be thirty years since The Lexicon Of Love, but ABC today easily match the quality and energy of the 80’s and are acclaimed by audiences and by the press. Expect a fabulous night of music and entertainment.
