Hobgoblin Stage, Friday 2019
Genuine Panama make a fat, wriggly, soulified indie sound. Their inimitable blend of animated guitar pop and old school funk n’ soul never fails to captivate audiences and stir unsuspecting dance floors. With an original collection of crowd-pleasers, eccentric guitar riffs and buttery bass solos, they manage to hit an uncharted sweet spot somewhere between Hippo Campus and James Brown.
Genuine Panama had biggest crowd for an opener I've ever seen. Their Bernard Edwards-esque funky bass solos had the crowd enamoured and craving more as every song progressed
