We are thrilled that one of the nation’s favourite authors Tracey Corderoy is joining in the fun of Wychwood this year.
Tracey has written both fiction for older children and picture books for younger readers, teaming up with some brilliant illustrators. She has a passion for language and stimulating readers' imaginations and will be bringing her brand new picture book The One-Stop Story Shop to Wychwood.
A knight is desperate to fight the dragon and finish his story, but when he reaches the dragon's cave there's a note saying that the dragon has gone on holiday. In desperation, the knight takes a trip to the One-Stop Story Shop to find himself a stand-in dragon. But right now the shop is all out of dragons. Whatever could happen next?
Tracey will be sharing her story and showing us how to draw some of her lovely characters and will be joined by Cavan, a trained signer, who will teach us some of the words in the story so that we can all join in. What's not to love about this event?
