Wychwood Festival is an event organised by Tribe Festivals Ltd. This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website or purchase festival tickets through one of our partners.

What information do we collect about you?

Mailing List

We collect information about you when you sign-up to receive updates about news and events via an online form on this website, or you choose to opt-in to receive updates when you purchase a ticket through one of our partners.

When you sign up to receive updates using our website form, we collect your name, e-mail address and optionally your postcode. The postcode helps us understand from where our users are located.

When you opt-in to receive updates when you purchase a ticket, we collect your name, e-mail address, phone number and postal address.

Website visitors

When you visit wychwoodfestival.com and if we have received your consent, we load user tracking tools to collect data on the browser environment and details about visitor behaviour.

We also use the services of a third-party digital marketing agency, Havas Entertainment, with whom we share the collected user data. Havas utilises the collected user data to personalise future marketing campaigns. Havas also shares the data with their partner Fifty to further understand user behaviour.

Tools loaded:

  • Google Analytics. Sets cookies on your browser to log the browser's session and posts data directly to Google's servers.
  • Facebook pixel software and service: as a user data gathering tool; analysing traffic to the website from Facebook's social network. Facebook uses cookies and receives information when a user visits our website, including device information and information about a user's activity.   • TikTok for Business pixel software: collects data on user behavior such as page views, clicks, and conversions by visitors and customers. The TikTok pixel sets cookies to identify a user session and posts data directly to TikTok's servers.

The user data collection tools from Google, Facebook and TikTok will not be loaded unless the user has given consent. We determine if consent is given by setting a single cookie.

How will we use the information we have about you?

Mailing List: E-mails

We use your name and e-mail address to send you e-mails when you sign-up or agree to opt-in to receive updates about news and events.

We use the mailing list service provided by MailChimp to manage our mailing list and send out campaign e-mails. MailChimp collect data about e-mails opened and interactions made through the e-mails. The data collected helps us understand better how our e-mail content is received and working. For more information, please see MailChimp's privacy statement for mailing list contacts.

Previously we used Your Mailing List Provider (YMLP) to manage the mailing list and send out the e-mails. YMLP collect data about the e-mails opened and clicks made on links within an e-mail, which helps us understand better how our e-mail content is received and working. Where you have provided us with your postcode, we use it along with other postcodes held in the mailing list to help us understand where our subscribers are located and prepare for future events.

You may unsubscribe from receiving e-mail messages at any time using the link provided at the bottom of our e-mails.

Mailing List: Text Messages

Where you have provided us with your phone number, we may send you text messages when you sign-up or agree to opt-in to receive updates about news and events.

We use a Short Messaging Service (SMS) provided by Text Marketer to manage the sending of bulk text messages. For more information, please see the Text Marketer Information Security Statement (PDF, 109KB).

You may unsubscribe from receiving text messages at any time by texting BGOY to the number 88802.

Website visitors

With the user's consent, we use the Google Analytics data collected from the website to help us receive a better understanding of how users interact with website content and the types of devices used to view website content, with the clear aim of providing the best user experience possible.

With our digital marketing partner we use the data collected by Google and TikTok for further direct marketing on those platforms, and we use the Facebook pixel software to allow us to measure the effectiveness of advertising placed into the facebook social network.

How long will we keep information about you?

Mailing List

We will retain your information on our mailing list whilst you remain subscribed, and up to 1 month after you unsubscribe.

Where you have provided us with your phone number, and we use the SMS provider Text Marketer, the messaging data is held by Text Marketer for no longer than 6 months from the date we send out a text message.

You have the right to view, amend or remove the personal information we hold for you: please see the Your Rights section of this privacy policy for more information.

Website visitors

Information logged by the Google Analytics service is held for no longer than 14 months. Holding the information for this length of time is useful for us to view visitor interactions over time and compare those with previous years.

Information collected by our digital marketing service is retained by the service for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Please read more on the Data Protection Policy of Havas Entertainment.

Information gathered by the Facebook pixel software is held indefinitely. Quoting Facebook from their policy section entitled: Data retention, account deactivation and deletion We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services and Facebook Products or until your account is deleted – whichever comes first.

Users who also have a Facebook account can view their Facebook ads settings and update their preferences at any time.
